Risk Assessment Training

All employers have a duty to ensure that suitable and sufficient risk assessments are in place in respect of all significant hazards arising from the work activities. It is vital that staff responsible for conducting these assessments have the competence and confidence to carry them out.

The CIEH offer two levels of Award, we deliver these courses on the employer’s premises, to groups of up to 15 participants.

The CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment is a new CIEH qualification designed to help improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety.

Its main purpose is to enable learners to understand the basic principles of risk assessment. This qualification will therefore give all employees the ability to contribute to the process and act always to protect their own health and safety and that of others.

This is a one-day course, assessment is by means of a 30 question multi-choice objective test to conclude the day. To deliver this course on your premises the cost is £450 + vat for the group, plus an individual CIEH entry fee of £9.25p + vat. Depending upon the location a travel charge may apply.

The CIEH Level 3 Award in the Principles & Practice of Risk Assessment ensures that supervisors and managers have the necessary depth of understanding to enable them to carry out risk assessments in practice.

Also a one-day course, but followed by an individual written assignment conducted back in the workplace. This assignment will include a practical risk assessment, together with background to enable the candidate to demonstrate a full understanding of the principles, purpose and legal basis for risk assessment. The work involved in completing the assignment is approximately 13 hours.

To deliver this course on your premises, our cost is £550 for the group, plus an individual CIEH entry fee of £26 pp + vat
