Manual Handling Training

As the single biggest cause of workplace injury, manual handling demands the attention of all employers, managers and staff. In particular, the law requires that all staff receive appropriate training, and that proper manual handling assessments are carried out.

We provide three levels of training:-

Manual Handling Awareness - a  two-hour course suitable  for all employees who may be involved in manual handling as any part of their duties. Covering immediate and long-term health hazards, risk factors, control measures to reduce risk, safe handling techniques, basic legal requirements, and what to expect from a manual handling assessment. click the link for a sample course outline. Cost £230 + vat to deliver the course on your premises, to a group of approx 5-20 staff.

CIEH Level 2 Principles of Manual Handling Certificate This course includes a short examination for the nationally-recognised Certificate of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Total duration approximately 2hrs 45 mins. Suitable for all employees who are required to carry out manual handling operations, and anyone involved in their supervision. Click the link for a course description. Cost £250 +vat to deliver the course on your premises to a group of 5-20 staff, plus the CIEH entry fee/certificate charge of £7.87p +vat per candidate.

Manual Handling Assessor Designed for all who may be required to conduct Manual Handling Assessments, particularly useful for managers and supervisors, the course provides step by step guidance in identifying risks,  controlling them, and completing  the requisite records to comply with the law. It is especially useful in helping to clarify whether a formal assessment is required The normal duration of this course is 5 hours, click the link for a sample course outline.
