CIEH Level 2 Award
in
Health & Safety in the Workplace
The new CIEH Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace replaces their Foundation Health & Safety qualification. This one-day certificated course has been designed to provide essential knowledge and understanding for staff in any sector. Many employers regard the nationally-recognised certificate as the baseline qualification for all employees. Quality-assured by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA), the certificate provides evidence that staff have received training of suitable quality and have understood it.
The syllabus covers accidents and ill-health, methods of prevention, legal duties, and risk assessment, together with the principal dangers and precautions for Fire, Electricity, Manual Handling, Hazardous Substances, Display Screen Equipment, Machinery, Violence, Slips, Trips and Falls etc. Recent updates include Working at Height, Noise, and Transport in the workplace
Examination is by means of a multi-choice objective test to conclude the day's training. The cost of the course, delivered on the client's premises, is £450 +vat for a group of 5-20 participants.
In addition, the CIEH charge an examination/certificate fee of £7.99p + vat per candidate, and the optional CIEH coursebook costs £3.50 per copy.
