General Health & Safety Training The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 requires all employers to provide adequate training to their employees about the risks that may be present in the workplace and the control measures needed to avoid injury and ill-health. We offer two levels of general training, depending upon the employer’s requirements. The CIEH Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace is a one-day course, concluding with an examination for the award of the nationally-recognised CIEH certificate. Our half-day Foundation Health & Safety course is for those employers who wish to increase the health & safety understanding of their workforce, yet do not feel that an examined course is suitable or appropriate.
