Foundation Health & Safety Training

This half-day course is designed to provide a good general understanding of Health & Safety at Work, for employees in a wide range of workplaces generally considered to be lower-risk such as offices.  It is particularly useful where the organisation’s history of safety training is limited.

Delivered on the client’s premises to a group of 5-20 staff, topics covered will include:-

• The main ways that workers are injured or made ill at work
• The scale of the problem
• What the Law requires of Employers and Employees
• General principles for preventing accidents & ill-health
• Overview of Risk Assessment
• Common Hazards and control measures:-

Manual Handling
Slips, trips & falls
Electricity
Fire
Hazardous substances
Display screen equipment
Workplace transport
Machinery
Other hazards in the client’s work

The course costs £340 + vat for a group of staff, inclusive of course handouts and certificates of training. dependng on location, a Travel Charge may apply.
