          COSHH Awareness

Hazardous substances come in every conceivable form, and include not only  labelled products, but the by-products of work like fumes and dust, and infectious pathogens like legionella and HIV. The law requires that all staff who may come into contact with hazardous substances must receive appropriate training.

COSHH Awareness is  a  two-hour course suitable  for all employees who may be exposed to risk as any part of their duties. The course covers:-

• Identifying hazardous substances in the workplace
• immediate and long-term health hazards
• risk factors
• control measures to reduce risk
• safe handling techniques
• personal protective equipment
• basic legal requirements
• what to expect from a COSHH assessment. 

The cost of the course, for a group of up to 20 staff on the clients premises, is £230 +vat, to include our own certificate of attendance for each participant. Depending upon the location travel costs may apply.
