COSHH Training
Hazardous substances come in every conceivable form, and include not only labelled products, but the by-products of work like fumes and dust, and infectious pathogens like legionella and HIV. The law requires that all staff who may come into contact with hazardous substances must receive appropriate training, and that proper COSHH assessments must be carried out.
We provide three levels of training:-
COSHH Awareness
A two-hour course suitable for all employees who may be exposed to risk as any part of their duties. Covering immediate and long-term health hazards, risk factors, control measures to reduce risk, safe handling techniques, basic legal requirements, and what to expect from a COSHH assessment. click the link for a sample course outline. Cost £230 + vat to deliver the course on your premises, for 5-20 staff.
CIEH Level 2 Principles of COSHH Certificate
This course includes a short examination for the nationally-recognised level 2 Certificate of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Total duration approximately 2hrs 30 mins. Suitable for all employees who may come into contact with hazardous substances, and anyone involved in their supervision. Click the link for a course description. Cost £250 +vat to deliver the course on your premises for 5-20 staff, plus the CIEH entry fee/certificate charge of £7.50p +vat per candidate.
COSHH Assessor
Designed for all who may be required to conduct COSHH Assessments, especially managers and supervisors, the course provides
step-by-step guidance in identifying hazards, sourcing the necessary information, controlling risks, choosing appropriate personal protective equipment, and completing the requisite records to comply with the law.
