CIEH Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace

This one-day certificated course has been designed to provide essential knowledge and understanding for staff in any sector. Many employers regard the nationally-recognised certificate as the baseline qualification for all employees. Quality-assured by OFQUAL, the certificate provides evidence that staff have received training of suitable quality and have understood it.

The syllabus covers accidents and ill-health, methods of prevention, legal duties, and an overview of risk assessment, together with the principal dangers and precautions for Fire, Electricity, Manual handling, Slips, trips & falls, Hazardous substances, Machinery, Transport in the workplace, Display screen equipment,  Noise,  and Violence.

Examination is by means of a multi-choice objective test to conclude the day's training on the client's premises. The cost of the course is £450 + vat for a group of 5-20 participants. Depending upon the location, travel costs may apply.

In addition, the CIEH charge an examination fee of £8.95p + vat per candidate, and the optional CIEH coursebook costs £3.60 per copy.
